1998 Parachute Repack and Seminar

Sponsored by the Maryland Hang Gliding Association

Location: North Carrol High School, Hampstead, Maryland Time: Saturday, December 5; 10 am - 5 pm Cost: $15 per pilot with parachute

The session will include parachute inspection, guided repack, simulated deployments while suspended from glider control frames, and seminars on the care and theory of parachutes as used by the hang gliding community. Our lives may literally hang on the condition and proper use of our 'chutes, so don't miss this opportunity to receive quality instruction from the people who design both the parachutes and the harnesses which contain them.

Parachute Experts:

(If you haven't noticed, these are the two top people in their field in the country)

Facilities: We have the use of a beautiful cafeteria with all the long tables in it, and a gymnasium right down the hall. We can probably have 6 to 10 parachutes being stretched out and folded at a time, and four gliders suspended from basketball backboards for simulated deployments.

From Route 140: Head NorthEast on route 27 near Westminster. Take the first right on rt 482. High school is on the right by water tower.
