Prez Sez:
    Tom's Top Ten

As a change of pace, I thought that I would not lecture, but list the top ten most memorable lines I have actually heard at launch (right hand to God):

(10)  It's just compression on the ridge. Once you launch you will find the winds aloft will be much lighter than they are on the ridge.
(9)  I'm not sure it's soarable. Are any Hang IIs set up?
(8)  Let's flip a coin to see who goes first. Ok, I won. Now, does that mean I go first or second?
(7)  Thanks, but I don't do hang checks.
(6)  You should set up and fly. Lift is everywhere, especially under this big dark cloud. (Heard 5 minutes before an enormous thunderstorm hit).
(5)  No, I don't need that bolt on my keel. I lost it a year ago and it hasn't been a problem.
(4)  Yes, I know that cable is frayed, but it's not under any stress during flight.
(3)  I think I'll launch now before that rains gets here.
(2)  I'm really excited about my first trip so Sandia. In fact, I just lowered my sprogs to get ready!
(1)  If you're worried about that breaking in flight, just put some duct tape on it.
