Poor O'l Zeek

Here in Kentucky, you don't see too many people hang-gliding. Ol' Zeek decided to save up and get a hang-glider. He takes it to the highest mountain, and after struggling to the top, he gets ready to take flight. He takes off running and reaches the edge--into the wind he goes!

Meanwhile, Maw & Paw Hicks were sittin' on the porch swing talkin bout the good ol days when maw spots the biggest bird she ever seen!

" Look at the size of that bird, Paw!" she exclaims.

Paw raises up," Git my gun, Maw."

She runs into the house, brings out his pump shotgun.

He takes careful aim. BANG...BANG.....BANG.....BANG! The monster size bird continues to sail silently over the tree tops.

"I think ya missed him, Paw," she says.

"Yeah," he replies, "but at least he let go of ol' Zeek!"

CHGA Meeting Minutes

May 23, 2001
Ed Reno

The top of the ridge at the Sac has been bought by a single person. He owns both sides of the road near the launch. The Windriders are leasing a setup area to the right of launch on the same side of the road as the new set up area. It has been asked that pilots that fly the site make a contribution to help defray the cost of the lease to the local club.

There was a swappage of flying stories as well as collective awe of Ric Neihaus' escapades. Congratulations on the new child Ric!

Fischer Rd was discussed, with new landing patterns as the main concern. The club passed a motion to reaffirm that the site is considered a "H2 observer required" site by the CHGA.

Joe Gregor is still looking for a Yasue FT23 that was lost either at the Pulpit or Ridgley.

The next MHGA meeting will feature a first aid class by Fred Permenter. It was suggested that CHGA have one as well. If you have any ideas on how to carry that off please contact a board member.

New CHGA rosters are available with 73 current members.

Dave Procter dropped in on Mr Fishburn and he said he didn't see anyone flying. It was north cross that day and apparently no one ventured south. So when flying Woodstock go south and do some wing wangs, Mr Fishburn will be watching. Then land out and go visit him!

Harry (of Emma Jane and Harry) is up and around. We're glad your doing better Harry!
