2011 CHGPA Christmas/Holiday/Club-Meeting Party! 6:30pm-10:00pm

There will be no general meeting of the CHGPA this December. Instead, we'll be celebrating the holidays at our annual CHGPA Christmas Party! This year, John and JoAnn Dullahan have graciously offered to open their home in Fort Washington MD for the festivities. This is a pot-luck, so please bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share.

All are welcome to attend, especially new pilots and new club members! While this isn't really a club meeting, it will still be an excellent opportunity to meet pilots, learn about sites, talk with HG/PG Observers, and make some friends. Kids are welcome too!

This will also be a good opportunity to renew your membership, and we'll have a short gathering to share a few brief bits of club business:

Directions:

From DC: Take 295 south, past Bolling Air Force Base, Blue Plains water treatment facility, and eventually follow a long left curve that goes past the exits for 95/495 and National Harbor. It curves back to the right and runs into Indian Head Highway (Hwy. 210) south.

Go about 5.5 miles south, six traffic lights, and after passing Fort Washington Road, take a right at the next light on to Swan Creek Rd. (There's a shopping center on the right as you turn). Proceed to a traffic circle and go straight across. Continue to a stop sign at Riverview Road - make a left. Go about 75 meters and take the first left into Firth of Lorne Circle. It's the 4th house on the left; white with blue shutters).

From Virginia: Cross Wilson bridge going east into Maryland. Go past the first exit (National Harbor and 295 north) and take the next one to Indian Head Highway south (Hwy. 210). Proceed as in 2nd paragraph above.

From the north, Maryland side: Take 95/495 south towards Richmond. Go past Andrews Air Force Base, and about a mile before the Wilson Bridge take the exit for Indian Head Highway (Hwy. 210). Proceed as in 2nd paragraph above.

Spring CHGPA General Meeting - 7:00pm

CHGPA will be Kicking off Spring Flying season at our Cinco-De Mayo Party! This year, Gary has graciously offered to open their home in Falls Church, VA for the festivities.

We'll order pizza, but please bring your best tequila, Mexican beers and margarita mixes to share.

All are welcome to attend, especially new pilots and new club members! This will be an excellent opportunity to meet pilots, learn about sites, talk with HG/PG Observers, and make some friends. Kids are welcome too!

We will discuss club business for just a few minutes as we prepare for our upcoming Pulpit Fly-in, Parachute Clinic, and Summer activities.

This is close to Seven Corners and not far off Route 50. Gary would appreciate it if you left your HG on your vehicle so that he can impress his neighbors!
